Also depends on what the knife is going to be used for. If it’s emergency self defense (or a tactical knife), then it definitely needs jimping. If it’s just an EDC blade, it’s optional, preferred, but optional. Really if a knife doesn’t have jimping I most likely won’t use it for emergency self defense.
